Did get some grooming on the entire outer loop and some on the back country trail. Looks pretty good the center trails are not quite as good. Twigs in new secionts and the Backcountry trails were largely removed and more will be done.

The freeze and thaw conditions make grooming hard for the equipment we have but it is starting to come.

The Course in fairly good condition the golf club staff are doing a good job keeping up with deands during weekdays. There are a few detours around water traps from last weekends rain. THe Course is Hard overnight nad in teh morning hours but softening up quite a bit during the afternoon. Thisd makes it a little inconsitent track setting. Enjoy the sunny weekend.

Jan 31, 2012 update

By ian - Posted on 31 January 2012

well the course was shaping up nicely for the Friday Jan 27th Weekend. Rain on Sunday has made it too soft to continue Grooming but should be Ok for the weekend. Half the Back Country Trail is also open and we will maintian that for the rest of the season.

You may notice a few changes to the course direction by the learning centre and at teh back of the course we now continue along the rail road tracks rather than curve onto the Golf Course proper. This is due to Ice damage to teh course last year. we do have to get some twigs etc. removed by the tracks and some on the Back Country trails. This will happen over the next little while.

The new Snow Mobile is much easier to use and if we use both on powder days we should shorten the time for all involved. We have only 3 Groomers This year and any Volunteers would be greatly Appreciated. Contact this site or phone me at 250-423-3841. You do not have to be an expert with a snowmobile just willing to donate 2-4 hrs of your time every 2-3 weeks depending on Volunteers.

Open For Skiing!!

By megan lohmann - Posted on 27 January 2012

Get on the Golf Course for some incredible views and pristine conditions!! We have a new snowmobile that we are trying out for our grooming this year. Please note that the trail has changed slightly, and that dogs are still not permitted. You can use the groomed section of the dyke adjacent to the Golf Course for dogs.

Golf Course Closed Until More Snow Arrives

By megan lohmann - Posted on 05 December 2011

The Golf Course ski trails are currently closed - there is not enough snow to protect the greens and properly groom. Please do not walk or ski on the property until the trailhead signs have been posted and the trails are groomed. This is important to ensure we have minimal impact on the greens, and that our trail system can be the best possible condition! Thanks.

Keeping up with the snowstorm!

By megan lohmann - Posted on 01 March 2011

The golf course crew have been working hard this week to keep up with the snow. Keep in mind that with the accumulation and wind, the pristine grooming doesn't last long...but it sure is beautiful! Please stay on the groomed areas.
