Winter 2010 - An exciting year for winter sports

By admin - Posted on 08 January 2009

Well, it's been a rather dry start to the new year, but it certainly hasn't stopped the avid nordic skiers of Fernie to get out and hit the trails.

We've had some incredible sunshine throughout January, and it looks much the same for February.

The Nordic Society has been pleased to host several events already. We had a successful potluck and AGM, a great kickoff to our Kids Ski Programs (Jackrabbits and Bunnyrabbits), had some great representation in the Olympic Torch Relay, and are looking forward to being part of the Griz Day festivities this March.

If you haven't signed up for the Nordic Society yet, you can do so by clicking the tab along the top of the page "Membership." Forms can also be found at Freshie's, downtown Fernie.

THINK SNOW! And we'll see you on the trails.

If you have any questions please contact us.
