Trail Conditions – January 17, 2022

A Membership or Day Pass required to ski at the Nordic Centre and the Golf Course. No dogs on groomed trails please.

Renewal stickers are available from any kiosk at the Nordic Centre and Fernie Golf Course.

MOOSE ALERT: Moose tracks have been noticed in several locations this week. Ski with care.
All trails were groomed and track set on Monday morning. Enjoy some full moon skiing this evening!

NEW: The hut will be open to the public this winter while an ambassador is on duty. A maximum of 12 people may be in the hut at any one time but everyone must be fully vaccinated and wearing a mask inside.

Fernie Golf Course

The trails were groomed on Monday afternoon. Daily grooming is planned.
Level of difficulty: Easy green easy

Fernie Cardlock gives 4 cents per litre to a local organization each month when fuel is purchased with DEBIT. The Fernie Nordic Society is the recipient in January 2022.

Fernie Alpine Resort

The Silk, Manchuria and Scandia trails were groomed and track set on Monday morning. Daily grooming happening usually in early morning.

Off-leash dogs are now allowed on the trails if they are still under ‘vocal control’. A map and directions to trails are found here

Fernie Dyke

Groomed regularly. A section of the dyke from the bridge and Maiden Lake toward the rail tracks is groomed regularly by groomer Jason from the Fernie Golf Course.
Level of difficulty: Easy green easy

Montane

The trails were all groomed on Monday morning Jan 10. Great ski conditions. Trail grooming is expected to happen daily and when there is some new snow.
