Trail Conditions – December 1, 2022

IT IS OFFICIAL! The nordic trails at both Fernie Golf Course and Elk Valley Nordic Centre are now open for skiing.
Thanks to Mother Nature, there is enough snow for our groomers to do their magic every day.

Elk Valley Nordic Centre

No dogs, snowshoes, biking or walkers on the trails please.

Trails were not groomed this morning since Wednesday – mechanical issues. The trackset may be not present in places. More grooming is planned on Thursday morning. Trails may still be soft in places. Please ski with care. Snowcat groomed planned on Thursday evening.

Fernie Golf Course

The trails are groomed daily in the morning and occasionally agin later in the afternoon.
Level of difficulty: Easy green easy

No dogs, snowshoes or walkers on the golf course please.

Fernie Alpine Resort

Skiers are enjoying the trails. The trails are now groomed regularly although the FAR grooming report has not been updated yet.

Off-leash dogs are now allowed on the trails if they are still under ‘vocal control’. A map and directions to trails are found here

Fernie Dyke

The dyke was groomed on Nov 27 starting from the North bridge and along the golf course. No visible trackset.
Level of difficulty: Easy green easy


Trail grooming has started and it is good skiing already.
