All proceeds go toward funding the activities of the race team. The racers wish to thank you all for your support.

Last weekend was a busy one at the Nordic Centre. A dozen volunteers were on hand on a rainy Saturday and on Sunday morning with a long to-do list of tasks. Fantastic work by all and with no incident … Nice!
Among the many things done, we got the stadium gully by the Cedars houses and lower kiosk area cleared out so that the snowcat can get through more easily for grooming and snow harvesting. Out on the trails, we cleared many of the favourite snow harvesting spots out to the Teck Bridge and then up along the Runt to the Grunt top.
One team worked to get lots of fire wood split, filling the wood shed to the top. Another team had the cable and lights hung up all around the stadium area. In addition we did an overall tidying up of logs around the stadium and a cleanup/sorting of supplies in the Warming Hut.
The Fernie Nordic Society wishes to thank Mark C. for doing the repairs to the roof of the hut damaged by a falling tree recently. And another Thank You! to Alisha who organized the snacks and refreshments for the occasion.
Now it is up to Mother Nature to send us loads of snow!

We are in the initial stages of planning our programming for Masters skiers for the upcoming Nordic ski season. If you are an adult (18+), you qualify as a Master – that is the only requirement!
Your feedback is important to us and helps us plan programming that will benefit as many members as possible. If you could take a few minutes to consider what activities you would like to see provided by the Fernie Nordic Society’s qualified coaches and instructors, we would greatly appreciate it!

These proposed new by-laws for the Fernie Nordic Society will be presented at the Annual General Meeting to be held on December 1st.
