A great evening is planned at the Fernie Golf Course this Saturday January 11 starting at 7 pm. The trails just opened and skiing should be excellent after all the snow that Fernie received this week! Bring a headlamp to ski from the clubhouse.
Our next event is planned for Saturday January 11 at 19:00 at the Fernie Golf Course. The trails on the golf course should be open with some cooperation from the weather gods. This event is open to ALL ages. Come and ski under the stars and the full moon – bring a headlamp! The Cast Iron Grill will be open and a special menu will be offered for this occasion.

The club has expanded its winter programs aimed at adult skiers. Coach Amy returns with her ski program of group and private lessons for adult skiers starting in January 2020. Coach Tarah has set up a Masters program for more experienced skiers and it starts in December.
The following pages show all the details.

Finally, the continuing physical training program for our 50+ members returns on December 1st. Coach Jeff supervises the program. Read more about it at https://www.fernienordic.com/mmr50plus/

Parents of children in our Skill Development Program,
If you have reserved a set of ski gear for your child, we are holding a gear fitting session next weekend. Several volunteers will be on hand to help your child try proper sized boots and to be measured for skis and poles. Gear will not be available to take home at this time.
Volunteers are needed: a few more people would be very helpful on this occasion. Reply to us if you are available.
When:
Saturday November 23 – between 9:30 am and 12:00 pm
Where:
Basement of Boardstiff store at 542 – 2nd Avenue
please note: access is through the alley
We have 60 children registered in the lessons at this time. A waiting list will be started when this number reaches about 70. If you know of any interested families who have not registered their child yet, please forward this message to them.
You may consider becoming a volunteer coach this season. The basic training is easy and the club pays this cost. For each new coach, an additional six children can enroll in our weekly lessons. Contact Coach Nancy
Lastly please let me know in case you are unable to come during the Saturday time slot. An alternate date/time may be arranged for the fitting.
Matthieu
